House Films teamed
up with Technogym
to create China's first fitness/lifestyle reality show
"The Gym 健乐男女"
House Films teamed up with Technogym to kick off the
production on an exciting new concept in reality programming in China,
titled “The Gym健乐男女”.This groundbreaking show will be the first
fitness and health themed reality show in China.
The show follows 6 ordinary people over three months as they work out at
a luxury gym in Shanghai. Using the latest and most high-tech fitness
equipment, by Technogym, they will get help and sometimes tough prodding
of professional trainers, who will push the contestants to find their
inner -strength to achieve their best.
Every 2 weeks, the cast will be judged based on how effective they’ve
been over the past 2 weeks, with the top performer winning a prize while
the loser faces a special challenge.
The audience will watch all the drama and humor as our cast struggles to
achieve their best each week.
In the end, although 6 will try, only one will win.
"The Gym 健乐男女" executive producer Ric DiIanni commented
that, “Technogym, the Italian world leading fitness manufacturer, is a
very strategic partner for our show. As the official gym equipment
provider for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, it is clear Technogym has
made a big commitment to the China market and to health and fitness in
China.”
Another Italian Company, Barilla, the largest producer of pasta
in the world, has joined the Team bringing a taste of Italian lifestyle,
which is the other important aspect of the show.
Being Italian was the key aspect adding to the show the fun element of
the audience learning about Italian culture and lifestyle as well.
"We want this to be more than just a physical challenge", says Director,
Sarah Zhang, "We want to see the hopes and dreams of our
contestants and how their lives change over the 3 months of the
challenge. The show will be educational, but it will also have a lot of
drama and humor along the way."
The show will be distributed by Youku online exclusively to the
340 pus million internet viewers in China, representing the top 23% of
income and education among Chinese consumers,as well as millions of
Chinese speaking consumers around the world.

在节目中,6位参赛选手在3个月的时间内,将在上海的一家豪华健身中心锻炼健身,使用由泰诺健提供的高科技健身器材,在专业教练的指导下,经过艰苦的专业训练,发挥最大的潜力,使自身在体力和精神方面得到最佳的蜕变。
观众将看到参赛者在3个月的过程中所发生的所有有趣的故事。

意大利风格将为观众带来更多娱乐的元素,同时也会使观众进一步了解到意大利文化和生活方式。
"我们希望这将不仅仅是对身体的挑战",导演张晓文女士说,"我们希望看到的是参赛者的希望,梦想,挑战自我的决心,以及他们在3个月变化中的心路历程。该节目有教育性,但它也同时富有娱乐性。"
"健乐男女"将通过节目的独家网络播出合作平台优酷网与300万中国互联网观众见面,节目的目标观众群是国内的高收入消费群体,以及在世界各地说中文的数百万消费者。
节目将于2010年初在上海开始拍摄。

House Films Signs ASC to sponsor “The Connoisseur”
House Films has signed ASC Fine Wines (Shanghai) Co. as a multi-episode sponsor of their new media wine show - “The Connoisseur”.
The show targets upscale Chinese consumers with a humorous look at wine education. Shot in luxury locations around Shanghai including M1NT, Laris and The Wine Residence, the show has the fun and relaxed feel of guys hanging out and talking about Wine. ASC wine expert Martin Hao shows host Zorro the fun, passion and interesting quirks of western wine, taking the audience on a funny odyssey into the world of western wine.
ASC is by far the largest wine distributor in China and they represent some of the best wine brands in the world. They also understand the importance of wine education if China is to reach its full potential to become a major wine market.
The show will be available throughout China to 300 million web users, available on some of the country’s primer video sites including Youku, Tudou, Sina and others. House Films will handle all show promotion for “The Connoisseur” in house.
Production started in Mid-October.
